🚀 Getting Started

Welcome to Bulk Designer! This add-on is designed to supercharge your design production within Adobe Express. By combining structured spreadsheet datasets, cloud files, or AI generation with your templates, you can construct hundreds of customizable graphics in a single click.

How to Launch the Add-on

1. Open any presentation, post, or multi-page design in Adobe Express.
2. In the left-hand panel, click on the Add-ons search tab.
3. Search for "Bulk Designer" and click to install/open it.
4. Once opened, you will see the primary choose dashboard showing your tool choices: Create from Spreadsheet, AI Carousels, or Bulk Import Images.

📊 Data Merge (Spreadsheets)

The Data Merge flow allows you to upload structured text datasets and automatically apply them to text elements in your template artboards.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Prepare your File: Create a table in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or a text editor. Ensure the first row contains your column headers (e.g. Name, JobTitle, Quote). Export it as a CSV, XLSX, or TSV file.
2. Upload the Dataset: Choose the "Create from Spreadsheet" option and select your file. Bulk Designer will parse the headers and render your dataset rows.
3. Select Columns to Map: Toggle the columns you want to merge. You can preview individual row data directly.
4. Map to Template Elements: In the configuration step, click on any text box on your Express page, then associate it with a dataset column header.
5. Generate Pages: Click "Apply Data". The add-on will duplicate your template and populate each new copy with the corresponding row data.

🎠 AI Carousels

Quickly build engaging, multi-slide educational carousels using AI-generated copy.

How to Use AI Carousels:

• Select AI Carousels from the chooser screen.
• Enter a prompt describing the topic you want to write about (e.g., "5 habits of productive software developers").
• Choose a visual template or theme structure.
• Click Generate. The AI engine will write individual slide headlines, body paragraphs, and slide numbers.
• Review the generated content in the editor panel, make any edits, and click Create Slides to render them instantly into your design.

🖼️ Bulk Import Images

Batch replace placeholder images on your canvas with individual image files. Perfect for headshots, product listings, and catalog builders.

Mapping Methods:

• Match by Filename: If your spreadsheet column contains image filenames (e.g., 1-Altay-Bayindir.png), Bulk Designer can search your chosen local or cloud folder, match the file name, download it, and map it directly to the corresponding page layout.
• Direct Image Insertion: Select individual rows and pick local files or cloud images from the pop-up modal to manually set row assets.

How to Batch Map:

1. In the column mapper screen, click Map Image Column.
2. Choose your image source (Local Folder, Google Drive, Dropbox, or Box).
3. Navigate to the folder containing your assets.
4. Click Confirm. The add-on will analyze filenames, report matches, and prepare the automated merge.

🔢 Headers & Page Numbers

Add professional, dynamic page numbering, custom header titles, or copyright footer markers across your document pages.

Options and Controls:

• Position & Alignment: Position indicators at corners (Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right) or center alignments.
• Formatting Templates: Use pre-configured formats like Page {n}, {n} of {total}, or enter your own custom text structures.
• Start Logic: Select which slide numbering starts on (e.g., skip the cover page by starting on Page 2) and configure the starting numeric value.
• Color & Typography: Select colors using the color picker to match your brand style. Font sizes scale automatically based on configuration.
• Live Preview: See your changes update live on the Express viewport as you edit configurations, with instant, automatic cleanups of preview nodes.

☁️ Cloud Storage Setup

Bulk Designer connects directly to popular cloud storage providers to load your assets on demand.

Supported Providers:

1. Google Drive / Sheets: Connect your account to browse spreadsheet sheets and folders containing images.
2. Dropbox: Supports secure API authentication for file browsing. Dropbox allows up to 500 connections in test-dev mode.
3. Box: Fully integrated enterprise cloud browser. Logs in securely using OAuth2 protocol.

🔒 Caching and Data Privacy

Bulk Designer acts as a stateless, client-side broker. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data (Google Sheets data, Excel files, or design assets) on our servers. Access tokens are stored encrypted in your local browser sandbox and are sent directly to the cloud provider's official API endpoints.
